Lynda Walsh is an Associate Professor of English at the University of Nevada, Reno. Her field is the rhetoric of science--in particular, the public life of scientific visuals and texts in debates about climate change, predator reintroduction, and other controversial issues. She also writes some fiction: Recently she co-wrote and illustrated (papercut) a children's book called Ruby about women jazz players in the 40s, with Malena McLaren Hobart.
