Having always felt a vocation to write, it has been over the last ten years that I have been able to realize this ambition. The ideas for my first book, Snatchers, evolved while working in a food factory in South Wales. The subject grew from a series of fragmented conceptions into a significantly interesting and gripping story which will urge the reader to eagerly move on through each chapter, as each turn of events leads to a series of unpredictable situations. This is a book that will make the reader question the whole legal system as it stands.
My second book, The Wrath of Anwen, developed from a suggestion from my wife that I write about coal mining, the human side rather than the factual side of life in a mining community. This book follows a very emotive route which, inevitable ends in tragedy. However, this is not the end of the tale and the story continues down a very sinister path.
With a long history in the mining industry, I find that I can now use my experiences as a firm foundation for my books. Coal mining no longer form the main source of employment for the communities of South Wales except for the odd small mine employing a few dedicated men, but the history can live on in the form of such writings as The Wrath of Anwen, also The Shenkin Hunters.
Now retired, I spend my time writing and researching for future publications.
Please enjoy reading my third book The Shenkin Mystery.
