Pat loves writing, nature, dogs, photography & travel. She lives in south Texas and enjoys visiting schools, libraries, writing groups and book clubs.

Her latest mystery title, Murder with no Remorse, takes readers into the world of drug smuggling along the south Texas border and relates back to Red Lady, a dog who befriended the Coast Guard "Sand Pounders" during World War II.

In her previous book, Murder has Consequences (originally released as Consequence), readers enter the world of human smuggling, illegal immigration and greed.

Her nonfiction books focus on telling people's stories. Her latest biography, Emergence: The John Bax Story, recounts the life of internationally known nature cinematographer, John Bax. Other biographies include The Sharon Rogers Band: Laughed Together, Cried Together, Crashed & Almost Died Together, and They Came Home: Korean War POWs Tell Their Stories. She is the co-author of Sunchon Tunnel Massacre Survivors and Role Call: Women's Voices.

Pat's bichon buddy, Luke the Detective Dog, researched history in Famous Dogs (& Other Critters) Too and Famous Dogs: Changing History One Dog (& Cat) at a Time. He interviews his fellow canines in his Dogs Speak Out series and helps solve crimes wherever her imagination takes them. Her mystery series features Hap Lynch and is set in different locations: Murder Takes a Ride in Branson, MO, and Murder is for the Birds in the South Padre Island area, Murder Takes No Prisoners, takes place in Jefferson City, Missouri, and Murder has Consequences and Murder with no Remorse return to south Texas.

Pat has lived in Colorado Springs, CO, Kansas City, MO, and Branson, MO, before moving to the South Padre Island area. She loved them all and gets homesick for each location's natural beauty.
