Serena Anderlini-D'Onofrio

Dr. SerenaGaia, aka Serena Anderlini-D'Onofrio, PhD, is an expert in the ecology of love and a founder of the School of Ecosexual Love.

Her work has built bridges and opened passages between the world of academic research and the knowledge that emanates from communities that practice love in open, conscious, holistic, fluid, and inclusive ways.

Author of multiple books, teacher, scholar, leader, naturist, activist, partner, lover, healer, filmmaker, curator, and cultural theorist, Dr. SerenaGaia co-edited the Ecosexuality collection (2015), and co-directed the Playa Azul film I Love You (2016).

“Her prophetic books,” including Eros (2006) and Gaia (2009), “have inspired readers around the world,” writes Dr. Susan M. Block about her.

Dr. SerenaGaia is a sex-positive educator and has been involved in the ecovillage movement since 2005. She gave the keynote speech at the Ecosex Symposium in 2012 and at Loving More in 2007. She presented in GEN in 2017 and 2018.

She was trained in Tantra, Tao, ecosexual expression, health and holistic massage. The Doctorate in Comparative Literature she earned from the University of California, Riverside, has been recognized by the Italian Ministry of Education. She is an erstwhile Professor of Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez. She is fluent in Italian, English, French and Spanish.

Dr. SerenaGaia believes that "a world where it is safe to love is a world where it is safe to live," and she intends to create this world with her sacred activism.
