Larry Catá Backer

Larry Catá Backer grew up in Havana and Miami in the Cuban American community of South Florida. He researches and writes in the areas of semiotics and more specifically about constitutional, business and international law and politics, including Cuban and Chinese political, legal, and societal systems, religious liberty, globalization, corporate social responsibility, and responsible business conduct. He serves on the faculties of law and international affairs at the Pennsylvania State University. He is also a member of the Coalition for Peace & Ethics.
