Michael S. Wenk

Mr. Wenk has been managing regulatory affairs at Fortune Global 500 chemical and consumer product firms since 1997. He pairs extensive regulatory expertise with a well-developed understanding of corporate operations, providing a unique blend of business process knowledge and technical acumen.

Throughout his 19 years in both industry and as a private consultant, Mr. Wenk has maintained close interactions with diverse corporate business units and services to develop sound regulatory strategies for a wide range of products, including multiple novel applications. These processes have involved identifying key regulatory issues within Asia-Pacific, South American and European markets, working technically with researchers and business sponsors to refine concepts to meet regulatory requirements, developing cost-benefit analyses for situations where multiple registration and regulation options exist, recommending the most viable path forward, and negotiating with national authorities to effectively manage product registrations.

Mr. Wenk has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who as a “Who’s Who in America” award recipient in 2007. In addition, he has published a textbook on European Environmental Auditing, which is currently part of the curriculum at Bath Spa University, Newton St Loe, Bath, United Kingdom. Further, he is recognized as an industry expert on the European Union’s Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS). Finally, he is the published author of over a dozen peer-reviewed professional journal articles, and has both chaired and presented at a wide variety of regulatory conferences in countries such as Greece, China, South Korea, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and the United States.

Mr. Wenk holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Ecology, with a concentration in Government Affairs, from Rutgers University, a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA degree from the University of Maryland.
