Katherine Cobbs

Katherine Cobbs left her first publishing job at National Geographic for the West Coast where she attended culinary school in order to combine her love of food with her passion for writing.

For over twenty years she has produced food and lifestyle content for brands, publishers, and authors including Cooking Light, Southern Living, Coastal Living, Garden & Gun, Local Palate, Weldon Owen, Williams-Sonoma, Tyson, and Walmart. She collaborated with country music star Martina McBride on Around the Table and Martina's Kitchen Mix, co-authored Bottega Favorita - A Southern Chef's Love Affair with Italian Food with celebrated Southern chef Frank Stitt, and co-wrote The Hot & Hot Fish Club Cookbook with Iron Chef Chris Hastings.

Most recently, she served as Executive Editor of Oxmoor House, an imprint of Time Inc. Books, where she edited bestselling books for Pulitzer Prizewinner and wittiest-Southerner-around Rick Bragg, soulful Atlanta Chef Todd Richards, southern gentleman and 'cue-expert Matt Moore, and Delta Dame and TODAY Show Food Contributor Elizabeth Heiskell, and numerous food and lifestyle titles for the Southern Living and Coastal Living magazine brands.

After decades of producing books for others, Katherine has just authored two titles of her own in a new "Guide to Spirited Pairings" series she created in collaboration with Blueline Creative Group for Tiller Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster: Cookies & Cocktails (October 2019) and Tequila & Tacos (April 2020).
