Anna Munster

Anna Munster is the author of two books on contemporary cultural theory, new media arts and technologies and politics. She is an associate professor at the College of Fine Arts, University of New South Wales, Sydney Australia, and a senior researcher in the 'Media and Innovation' stream of that University's interdisciplinary, National Institute for Experimental Arts. She is a founding member of the online journal Fibreculture and regularly contributes to journals such as Computational Culture, Theory, Culture and Society, Continuum, Inflexions, CTheory. Anna is also a media artist whose work explores relationships between embodiment and digital technologies. Her interactive and audiovisual installations are made collaboratively with Michele Barker and have been exhibited at Watermans Gallery, London, The Museum of Art, Seoul, The FILE Festival, Sao Paolo and the Museum of Ethnography, Vienna Austria among others. Their recent installations explores perception within audiovisual environments.
