Angela Sorby

Angela Sorby is a poet and literary historian. She is the author of three books: Distance Learning (poems, 1998), Schoolroom Poets: Childhood, Performance, and the Place of American Poetry (literary history, 2005), and Bird Skin Coat (poems, 2009). Her work has won a Discovery/The Nation prize, an Honor Book Prize from the Children's Literature Association, and the Brittingham Prize for poetry. She was born and raised in Seattle but now lives in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she teaches at Marquette University.
