Richard is a long-time psychotherapist who now specializes in teaching meditation to other healthcare professionals and the general public. His recent teaching has ranged from Wall Street firms to Veterans hospitals to major healthcare seminars to Florentine retreat centers. His earlier books, Healing Addictions: The Vulnerability Model of Recovery, and Dante's Path: A Practical Approach to Inner Wisdom, emphasize our shared human vulnerability as the way to understand self and others. His most recent book, The End of Fear: A Spiritual Path for Realists, is his personal statement of vulnerability and its spiritual potentials. He is married, a father and grandfather, and lives and works in Huntington, New York.
