Lynne Gabriel

Professor Lynne Gabriel (also known as Carol Lynnette Gabriel) is a UK practitioner, academic, researcher, counselling and mental health professions supervisor, trainer and author. Professor Gabriel is the Founder Director of the York St John University Communities Centre and also has a lead role in local/regional mental health as co-Chair of the York Mental Health Partnership. Professor Gabriel co-led a successful 2.4m NHSE bid to support development of Neighbourhood Mental Health Centres. The York Centre forms part of the national 24/7 Neighbourhood Mental Health Centres pilot (commencing late summer 2024). Professor Gabriel is President of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy.
