Nancy LaGreca

Nancy LaGreca completed the PhD at the University of Texas at Austin specializing in Latin American literature and women and gender studies. She is associate professor and chair of the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics at the University of Oklahoma. LaGreca is the author of Rewriting Womanhood: Early Feminism, Subjectivity, and the Angel of the House in the Latin American Novel, 1887-1903 (Penn State University Press 2009) and Erotic Mysticism: Subversion and Transcendence in Spanish American modernista Prose, 1894-1922 (NCSRLL at UNC Chapel Hill Press 2016). LaGreca specializes in Latin American narrative from Independence to 1920 and has published articles on modernismo, feminist discourse, decadence, eroticism, and non-theistic mysticism.
