Joe Flatman

Joe Flatman lives and works in south-east England. He has been involved in academic, charity sector, commercial and government heritage projects around the world since 2001, including in the UK, the USA and Australia. He has published widely on issues of archaeological practice, and he is a columnist for Current Archaeology magazine. His books include 'Becoming an Archaeologist: A Guide to Professional Pathways'; 'Archaeology: A Beginner’s Guide'; 'Archaeology in Society: Its Relevance in the Modern World' (co-edited with Marcy Rockman) and 'Prehistoric Archaeology of the Continental Shelf: A Global Review' (co-edited with Amanda Evans and Nic Flemming).
