Linda Bleck was born and raised in Waukegan , IL. Surrounded by her artistically creative siblings and parents, she chose to pursue graphic design. She graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in 1987 and then moved to NYC to pursue a different career path in illustration. She created editorial illustrations for many magazines and newspapers which included Business Week, Wallstreet Journal, and Time magazine.
When her children were born she switched gears and pursued children's book illustration. In 2005 she published her first written and illustrated series Pepper the Dog published by Simon and Schuster, which won a National Parenting Publication award. She continued creating award winning art for many other books. She lives with her 2 children and husband in Wisconsin.
