I write information and story books for children. I often visit schools as an author, when I love making up stories with kids and where I have learned that all staff rooms are pretty much the same!

My latest fiction title is an ebook, called Spacetoyz, Bananas and the End of the World - can geeky Kevin stop an alien invasion with a piece of fruit? Find out!

My information books cover lots of topics, particularly history and animals. The latest ones are about the doomed Titanic ship.

I have the same name as a very successful American composer of TV music - it's sometimes a shock to see 'my' name on the credits at the end of a programme. I wonder if he knows who I am!
