Heidi Pridemore

Heidi Pridemore is co-owner and lead designer of The Whimsical Workshop, known for bright, playful quilt patterns and craft instruction. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from the Rochester Institute of Technology and has designed for the fabric and craft industries since 2000.

She launched her own quilt pattern line in 2002, began designing fabric in 2004, and co-founded The Whimsical Workshop with her husband, Matthew, in 2005. Her patterns and fabrics have been produced with companies including Andover, Blank Quilting, Studio E, Michael Miller Fabrice, Realeather and Island Batiks.

She is the author of six books, including Quilted Whimsy, Bold Batiks, Dazzling Designs, Pop Up Paper Structures, Fabric Jewelry, and Beginner's Guide to Quilting, Sewing, and Appliqué.

Beyond quilting, she teaches nationally for guilds and shops, aboard quilting cruises, and at retreats, and has expanded into leathercraft and general craft instruction. She is a Janome Educator and Aurifilosopher.
