Ibrahim Sirkeci

Ibrahim Sirkeci (PhD, University of Sheffield, 2002; BA, Bilkent University, 1997)(born in Izmir, Turkey) is Ria Professor of Transnational Studies and Marketing at Regent's University London where he is also the Director of Regent's Centre for Transnational Studies. Prof Sirkeci has written widely on transnational marketing, international migration, internal migration, population movements, labour market, ethnic conflict, minorities, remittances, and digital piracy; mainly drawing upon his research on the UK, Turkey, Germany, and Iraq. Sirkeci also writes a weekly column for Turkish daily newspaper Birgun. He is the editor of several journals including Migration Letters, Border Crossing, Kurdish Studies, Transnational Marketing Journal, Remittances Review.
