Patrik Aspers (1970-) is Professor of Sociology at University of St. Gallen. He was born in Sweden, and has worked in Germany (Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies in Cologne) and Sweden, Stockholm University. and the Swedish School of Textiles. His research focuses on economic sociology, particularly markets, and on theory. The fashion industry has beenthe main field of study.
