Justine A. Lee

Dr. Justine Lee is a double-board certified veterinary specialist in emergency critical care and toxicology. She is the CEO of VetGirl, a subscription-based podcast and webinar service offering RACE-approved veterinary continuing education. Previously, she was on faculty at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and the Associate Director of Veterinary Services at Pet Poison Helpline. Dr. Lee graduated from Virginia Tech and obtained her veterinary degree at Cornell University. She completed her internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, which is affiliated with the MSPCA. In addition, she has also completed an emergency fellowship and residency at the University of Pennsylvania. Currently, she is 1 of approximately 450 board certified veterinary specialists world wide in emergency medicine and critical care, and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care and the American Board of Toxicology.

Dr. Lee has been published in numerous veterinary journals. She has also published several veterinary textbooks and book chapters, and has been aired on radio and television to promote preventative medicine, animal health, and the overall well-being of pets. She is the author of two humorous pet reference books entitled "It's a Dog's Life... but It's Your Carpet" and "It's a Cat's World... You Just Live In It." Previously, Dr. Lee was the contributing author for "Prevention" magazine and various other breed newsletters and blogged for PetMD. She currently is a blogger for Pet Health Network, and lectures throughout the world on emergency, critical care and toxicology.
