Well, I was born in Oporto, northern Portugal, in 1976. It was a sunny winter's day of February... at least that's what my mother says...

I spent my childhood in Viana do Castelo, a small town north of Oporto.

Currently I devote myself exclusively to writing while trying to be a citizen of the world.

I'm the New York Times bestselling author of The Last Pope, The Holy Bullet and The Pope's Assassin. A fourth one of this Vatican Series will be released in 2013.
