Karen Goa

Canadian-born author Karen Goa lives in New Zealand with her boatbuilder husband Ken and her fat cat Barrow (also known as Ballast). Once a hospital pharmacist in Saskatchewan, Karen took the cross-planet leap to New Zealand for a career in medical writing. She's now a freelance writer of fiction, travel and food. She authored two highly entertaining travel books and wrote numerous short stories for Radio New Zealand before completing her debut novel, My Father's Ears.

When not pining for classic Chevys, Karen is on the back of a motorcycle or poking around the interesting corners of our world. Karen's own trapeze experience is now a fondly terrifying memory.
