Gregory F. Pierce

Gregory F. Augustine Pierce is the president and publisher of ACTA Publications in Chicago. He is a past president of the National Center for the Laity. Pierce is the author of the award-winning books, Spirituality at Work, The Mass Is Never Ended, and The World as It Should Be. His newest book, Reveille for a New Generation, was published in November 2021. He is married to Kathleen Augustine Pierce, a retired Catholic school teacher, and the couple has three adult children, graduates of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Grinnell College in Iowa, and Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The couple attend St. Gertrude's Catholic Church in Chicago. Pierce is originally from Rochester, New York, and graduated from Maryknoll College in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He worked for over 50 years as an organizer, leader, and mentor with the Industrial Areas Foundation.
