W.D. Edmiston is a fifth generation Texan, from Bandera. His earliest mentor was a crew-boss on the world’s largest ranch near there. The cowboy encouraged him to be a man of good character and a storyteller. He took a job as a law enforcement radio operator to pay for college. But it led him to choose police work as a career even though he became interested in auto racing. Getting to know the people inside and out of both careers offered a certain clarity about keeping the peace, winning, and losing. Those experiences and his church provided him with a wide range of human experience either side of the line between good and evil. He spent three decades at it, truncated with a new bride and a stint working for a nationally known auto racing team. There he brushed shoulders with several racing and movie greats. It was all exciting, and adventuresome. For the edification of his grandchildren, and your entertainment, it is distilled into his book series.
