Wouter van Reek

As a kid, Wouter had a book with two pages about the universe at the end. There were pictures of the planets and a small-scale model of the solar system. Taking careful measurements, Wouter calculated that Jupiter was 19 million miles from earth. This turned out to be completely wrong, because the sun was not drawn to scale. Next he tried to make a telescope by grinding the headlight of a scooter, but the only effect was that the headlight became opaque. With that, his short career in science came to an end, and he went to art school, which we way too easy, so he changed to mathematics, but that was too hard, so he changed back to art. After art school, he created an animated cartoon series for TV, introducing Keepvogel (Coppernickel in English)and Tungsten. So far, Wouter has created about 6 books based on these characters.
