Dan Bertalan

Despite his attempts at a "normal" career as a scientist, Dan Bertalan's love for outdoor adventure and compulsion for storytelling drew him into crafting books and films about the wonder of outdoor discoveries. The twisting trail of outdoor media lead him into syndicated radio, broadcast television, and finally educational film making used in science classrooms across the country. But perhaps one of his greatest storytelling passions remains in writing about the probability of nature with the potential of normal people thrown into gauntlets of self discovery. Though the workweek still finds him crafting science films and television in Madison, Wisconsin, the fringes of dawn and dusk continue to pull him into writing about struggles of survival that reveal the wonder of the human spirit intertwined with nature.
