I was born in the suburbs of Los Angeles, left at the earliest opportunity, haven't been back in 20 years. Was a marine biologist, now a veterinarian, always a trouble maker. I write, too.
For the last decade or so I've lived in Grays Harbor County, which has about the same land area as New Jersey, and a total population of 60,000. This is much more to my liking. I really am a veterinarian, and I own my own clinic. Not a big one, but friendly. It has a house on the same property, just like in the old days, and that's kind of nice. My commute to work is a 90 second walk. Considering how I feel about rush hour freeway traffic, this is very good for me. More people should try it! The clinic and house are way off the main road, and they've been around for quite a long time. I'm the third vet to live here since it opened in 1929.
