Augustus M. Cileone

Augustus Cileone's current book is The Bigger Picture, a sequel to Out of the Picture. Both are mysteries for movie lovers. The Bigger Picture also deals with the sexual double standard and the problem of violence towards women. He won the Dark Oak Mystery Contest sponsored by Oak Tree Press, which published his first novel, A Lesson in Murder. His second novel, Feast or Famine, is about growing up as a South Philadelphia Catholic Italian American. He has been honored for his writing by Annual Art Affair, Hidden River Arts, the annual Writer's Digest writing competition, The Philadelphia Writers' Conference, the Montgomery County Community College's Annual Writers' Club Poetry and Fiction Contest, Filmmakers International Screenwriting Awards, and the Annual StoryPros International Screenplay Contest. His short stories are included in Don Ron Books "South Philly Fiction," the Delaware Valley Chapter of Sisters in Crime's "Death Knell V," and the Schuylkill Valley Journal. His film blog, My Meaningful Movies, analyzes various motion pictures weekly, and he is a contributor to the film site ScreenPrism.com
