Kay McKenzie Cooke (Kāti Māmoe, Kāi Tahu) lives in the small city of Ōtepoti Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand. She lives with her husband in a home situated between the harbour and the beach. This landscape; a mix of urban and natural; along with memories of a childhood in the more wild and remote areas of Murihiku Southland, continue to provide inspiration for her writing. To date, she has had four poetry collections published and three novels.
