David Waldron

I am a lecturer in History and Anthropology at Federation University with a passion for the history of the more outlandish and remarkable folklore which raises its head from time to time in modern society. I particularly enjoy the wonderful personal stories and developments in local history that shape these tales and the way they are taken up in mass media and broader society. I like to see my work as bridging the gap between the personal and the global in folklore studies and trace the stories of how urban legends and beliefs take hold and are shaped by communities over time.
