Mark Baimbridge

Dr. Mark Baimbridge was an Associate Professor in Economics at the School of Management, University of Bradford. His main research areas included European economic integration (the single internal market, the European social model, monetary union, referendums, and Brexit), labour markets and industrial relations, the economics of professional sports, and the economics of higher education. Additionally, he published in the disciplines of Political Science, Sociology, Higher Education, and Social Policy. In particular, a longstanding publication theme from the late 1980s to mid-1990s was the UK-EU relationship that helped to initiate the debate over EU membership and alternative options. These ideas were central to the latter Brexit debate through various publications and forms of public engagement.
