Wendy Mnookin's most recent book of poems, DINNER WITH EMERSON, was published in March 2016 by Tiger Bark Press. Her other books are THE MOON MAKES ITS OWN PLEA, WHAT HE TOOK, and TO GET HERE, from BOA Editions, and GUENEVER SPEAKS, a book of persona poems. Mnookin's work has appeared in journals and anthologies and been featured on Garrison Keillor's "Writer's Almanac" and on "Poetry Daily."
Mnookin received a Poetry Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, and WHAT HE TOOK won a book prize from the New England Poetry Club. She received her BA from Radcliffe College and her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Mnookin has taught poetry at Boston College, Emerson College, and Grub Street, a non-profit writing program in Boston, and at workshops around the country. She lives with her husband in Newton, Massachusetts, where they raised their three children. They are now enjoying four young grandchildren.
