I write for those whose lives haven't gone exactly as planned, whether in romance, career, or family. Writing is the way I navigate the tension between how the world is and how it ought to be. As an award-winning reporter and editor of an international skating newspaper, my greatest fulfillment was capturing ordinary people's stories of pride and pain. I've written under the name Trish Hermanson and P.J. Hermanson.
My novel, "The Wooden Indian Resurrection," captured awards from Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers and Pikes Peak Writers prior to publication. "Hooty McTooty Discovers True Beauty" has been a hilarious favorite for both adults and children because of its combination of silliness and sophistication. "Don't Feed the Alligators or They Might Eat You" is a compilation of more than 100 of my best blogs written over the past seven years and designed to provide hope and humor along life's highway.
My heart is divided between my home at the edge of the Colorado Rocky Mountains and the Midwest prairies where I was raised.
