Kevin Amsler is a freelance writer/author living in St. Louis, Missouri. He is author of two St. Louis non-fiction books: "Final Resting Place: The Lives and Deaths of Famous St. Louisans" and "The Architecture of Maritz & Young: Exceptional Historic Homes of St. Louis".
More recently Kevin wrote the three novel set St. Louis Historical Series: "Falstaff Inn" (Book 1), "Only Time Will Tell" (Book 2), and "Another Place in Time" (Book 3).
Kevin and his wife also collaborated on two children's picture books: "Lola van Gogh" and "Smoky Visits a National Park".
"The Architecture of Maritz & Young" has won the 2014 Osmund Overby Award from the Missouri Preservation Society. The Overby Award was established in 2003 to recognize published works that contribute to Missouri's rich and diverse collection of historic resources in the past year.
The book also won a silver medal in the 2014 Independent Book Publisher Awards for Best Regional Non-Fiction. And the American Library Association has nominated "Maritz & Young" in their Foreword Book of the Year Awards for Best Architectural Book.
