Susan Blanshard was born in Hampshire, England. She is a best-selling author, and an internationally acclaimed poet and essayist.
The daughter of a Naval officer, diplomat, film-maker and photographer, she experienced a nomadic childhood. Consequently, her literary work is coloured by her multicultural past and present.
Susan is author of Sheetstone: Memoir for a Lover (Published by Spuyten Duyvil, 2006), a book length poem. Sleeping With the Artist, poetic prose, Quieter Histories: Poems, Poems From The Ally, Send The Raven: Poems, and she co-authored Cutter: Art Of Blood Literary Crime Thriller.
She is revisionist poetry editor for more than twenty books in translation: poetry, short-stories, including the winner of the Cikada Poetry Prize, Sweden.
