I live in a barn in the Catskills with my husband, one cat (Buster), and five West Indian rock iguanas (Sebastian, Emo, Ava, Luna, and Che). I have lived with lizards and other reptiles since I was eight years old. I spent a lot of my childhood in rural Indiana, where I'm from, and also in Michigan at Higgins Lake. I learned to snorkel in the Bahamas when I was six years old --that was my grandparents' winter home. Every Christmas and Easter I went there and snorkeled and I watched the reef change. Most of my writing is about our relationship with animals and nature. I'm writing a memoir now...with a LOT of lizards!
