Micaela Myers

Micaela Myers began writing at an early age. After earning her bachelor’s degree in English, she went on to pursue an MFA in writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts. She garnered publications in many literary journals, including the Mississippi Review online, Boston Literary Magazine, Short Story, Paper Street, and Spire. Micaela’s stories also took first place in the River Oak Review’s fiction contest and Binnacle’s Ultra-Short Competition.

In her day job, Micaela is an award-winning magazine editor. She is also the author of three equestrian books.

Her latest nonfiction book--"Superhero Kids" (Panhandle Creek Press, November 2026)--tells the true stories of 21 kids ages 12 to 18 making a difference in their communities and across the country. They’re saving the environment, helping animals, advocating for issues they care about, inventing solutions to problems, starting nonprofits, and more. You don’t need to wear a cape to be a superhero, and Superhero Kids gives parents and youth the roadmap to success. Readers of all ages will find inspiration in these true tales of kindness, empathy, and courage.
