Bruno Lowagie

I am the original developer of iText, an open source PDF library and the founder of iText Group, a company with subsidiaries in the US, Belgium, and Singapore. During my career in IT, I wrote two "iText in Action" books for Manning Publications. I also wrote several technical manuals published on LeanPub.

After leaving the software business, I made one and only one New Year's resolution for 2019: I would win at least one writing contest with a short story written in Dutch. By the end of 2019, I had won three first prizes, five publications in short story anthologies, three publications in literary magazines, and eight honorary mentions. I was ready to write a book.

In 2020, I wrote two books in Dutch ("Nijlpaard voor Kerstmis" and "Gebeten"), before I switched to writing in English. In December 2020, I released "Reflection Infection," a compilation of short fiction stories written to exercise my English. In 2021, I published the autobiographical book "Entreprenerd" about my journey from idea to exit with iText.
