Enid L. Mallory

Enid Mallory is a Canadian writer with eleven published books including Robert Service: Under the spell of the Yukon, Over the Counter: The Country Store in Canada, and Countryside Kawartha.

With Gord Mallory, she produced the e-book, "Travels with Birds: in Eastern North America".

With 138 images their book takes readers to beautiful natural places to view birds and wildlife and salute the naturalists who saved these piece of wild America.

Now her new book, "Susannah's 1837: Rebellion in the Canadas", takes readers to a pivotal year in the history of Canada. In the events of that year and its aftermath, we became a kinder, more tolerant people but not without pain and suffering and death for many in Upper Canada and more in Lower Canada.

Canada's coming-of-age is told through the eyes of a young girl born into Toronto's privileged Family Compact but having to deal with dramatic change in her family and her heart as she learns about death and loyalty and love.
