Stuart Alexander is an independent curator and photohistorian. He is a specialist in the work of Brassaï, Robert Frank and Josef Koudelka. His career began in museums, notably the Center for Creative Photography. He has organized numerous exhibitions in collaboration with publishers, collectors, and museums around the world, and his writing has been frequently published. He spent over fifteen years as an auction house specialist including ten years as Vice-President and Senior Specialist in Photographs at Christie’s, New York. In addition to books and exhibition projects, he also serves on the Advisory Council of the Josef Koudelka Foundation.
