Donald D. Binder

DONALD D. BINDER is a Canon of St. George's Cathedral, Jerusalem, and serves as Chaplain to the Anglican Archbishop of Jerusalem & the Middle East. He holds a Ph.D. in New Testament studies from SMU (1997) and has written extensively on the topic of Second Temple period synagogues, the subject of his published doctoral dissertation, 'Into the Temple Courts: The Place of the Synagogues in the Second Temple Period' (SBLDS, 1999), and the reference volume, 'The Ancient Synagogue from Its Origins to 200 C.E.: A Source Book' (Brill, 2008), co-authored with Anders Runesson and Birger Olsson.
