Christopher Baxter

Christopher Baxter was educated at King's College London and the London School of Economics and Political Science. Upon finishing his MA in International History at the LSE, Christopher was appointed MacArthur Research Fellow at King's College London, completing his PhD in 2000. Two years earlier, he joined Sir Lawrence Freedman as the latter's chief researcher on the Official History of the Falklands Campaign before moving to the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as one of their resident historians. In 2006, Christopher was engaged as the lead researcher with the late Professor Keith Jeffery on the Authorised History of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6). After that book was published in 2010, for the next fifteen years Christopher worked on the history of intelligence operations for the Cabinet Office.
