Unlike many people, I love mathematics and see it everywhere. I have spent the last 20 years working as a Professor of Mathematics Education, dedicated to improving future and current teachers' pedagogy and mathematical knowledge.

My first four books are an attempt to excite students about mathematics; in particular, by articulating ways teachers can use children's literature in the mathematics classroom.

My fifth book, Math + Art = Fun: Activities for Discovering Mathematical Magic in Modern Art, helps children ages 4-10 see mathematics using the lens of the visual arts.

I have just written a series of children's counting book featuring various college and universities at which I have attended or taught. The books are in the "Count on..." series allow the reader to count from 1 to 12, while discerning even and odd numbers. Explore the passage of time through the 12 months and 4 seasons, while enjoying the beauty and history of the school's campus. Clever rhyming narrative. Includes two coloring pages.
