Robin Andersen

Robin Andersen was born in Los Angeles and grew up in San Diego. After graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of California at San Diego, she traveled to Europe before doing graduate studies in Sociology and Media. She followed an ABC news crew in Central America and documented the newsgathering strategies. Her Ph.D. dissertation would later be incorporated into her 2006 book titled, "A Century of Media, A Century of War," which won the Alpha Sigma Nu Book Prize in 2007. She writes media analysis for FAIR and Project Censored, and is currently Professor Emerita of Communication & Media Studies at Fordham University in New York City. She is also a travel writer, and combines her interests in television studies and travel by writing about locations for TV shows. Her latest book is about the BBC Mystery Series Death in Paradise that is filmed on the island of Guadeloupe.
