I'm an Associate Professor of Mathematics at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. I received my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Maryland at College Park. I grew up in Mesa, Arizona and received my undergraduate degree at Arizona State University. One of my main goals in teaching is to help students understand the "big picture" concepts in mathematics, whether at the graduate or at the undergraduate level. I maintain a blog on undergrad math. In my spare time, I like to garden, cook and sew, and take my family on nature walks.
