Mark Nixon

Mark Nixon is a Professor at the UK's top Department of Electronics and Computer Science. My research team works in computer vision and in biometrics. We have pioneered new biometric approaches, including gait, ear and more recently soft biometrics for surveillance.

I've chaired a load of conferences (BTAS, IJCB, ICB, ISBA, BMVC and ICPR) and am a Fellow of the IAPR and the Distinguished Fellow of the BMVA 2015.
