I have been photographing railroads for over 30 years, shooting everything from restored steam locomotives to streetcars to modern freight power. In this pursuit, I have accumulated about 140,000 images from all over the U.S. and Canada.

I am editor of Railfan & Railroad magazine, based in Newton, New Jersey, a monthly magazine that features some of the best railroad photography available.

I am married to Genie, and our "kids" are an assortment of dogs, cats and other fun creatures.
