Peter Neville, a Brit, spent over 30 years as a professional pet behaviourist, writer and educator. He established the first companion animal behaviour referral clinic at a UK veterinary school at Bristol in 1990, was Clinical Professor of Veterinary Ethology at the Dept of Veterinary Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan from 2008-10, and Adjunct Professor at the Dept of Animal Sciences, The Ohio State University, USA for nearly 20 years. Peter is the author/co-author of 20 books, including the international best-sellers, ‘Do Dogs Need Shrinks?’ and ‘Do Cats Need Shrinks?’, and ‘EMRA Intelligence’. He is a frequent multi-media broadcaster, including three seasons as the resident expert animal behaviourist on the huge international hit tv shows Dogs-/Puppies-/Cats-/Kittens-/Wild Animals-/Birds- Make You LOL’. He also writes a monthly column for Your Cat magazine in the UK and has set up his own publishing company, 'Peter Neville Publishing' to develop his own titles with Amazon-Kindle and help others to do likewise in the fields of animal behaviour, African wildlife and safaris.
Peter now works frequently as an ethologist guide with Rae Safaris https://raesafaris.co.za/ in southern and east Africa, the Galapagos and Antarctica. When in Europe, he lives in Zagreb, Croatia with his partner Stella and their Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Moya.
