Sandra R. Gordon

Sandra Gordon is an Emmy Award winning producer and published author. Her career history spans a variety of productions and provides her with a very well rounded knowledge of film and television production.

With a degree in television-radio from Ithaca College, she began her career working in the Locations Department of feature films. Gordon transferred those skills into production coordinating roles on films, broadcast network specials, and television series including Party of Five, Early Edition, and the live broadcast of the L.A. Marathon. She also produced corporate videos and worked as production manager for both the Opening Ceremonies for World Cup Soccer ‘94 and the Atlanta Paralympic Games in 1996.

Gordon's moves within the film community and between coasts have put her in a position to act as a mentor and advisor to many who are starting their careers in entertainment. After years of advice giving to students, she put her words to paper and authored Action! Establishing Your Career in Film & Television Production (Applause Theatre & Cinema Books) and Great Jobs for Film Majors (McGraw-Hill/Contemporary Books).

After spending six years as a producer at the internationally renown Whitehouse Post Productions, Gordon created Top Bunk Entertainment, a television development and production company providing entertaining content. Remaining active in the Chicago film community, she is president emeritus of the Illinois Production Alliance, a member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and Women in Film.
