Jeannine L. Pedersen

Jeannine Pedersen-Guzman hails from Antioch, IL where her family has lived for over 150 years. She grew up listening to her grandfather’s stories of times past and developed a curiosity for history. Her interest in pursuing a career in History led her to Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. After taking a Cultural Anthropology course she found that the attempt to understand past cultures brought deeper meaning to her historical studies and she decided to pursue both subjects. Jeannine received her Bachelors Degree in History and Anthropology with a minor in Social Science Education. She continued her studies at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL where she received a Masters Degree in History and Museum Studies. Jeannine’s primary passion is the artifact. She has focused her career on the care, study and interpretation of historical and archaeological artifacts. Pedersen has 20 years of experience working in museums, historical agencies and archaeological repositories.
