Sheilah Kaufman

Sheilah Kaufman, author of twenty-seven cookbooks, has been a food editor and writer, culinary lecturer, and culinary instructor for more than forty-five years. Her most recent books are Simply Irresistible: Easy, Elegant, Fearless, Fussless Cooking, the award-winning The Turkish Cookbook: Regional Recipes and Stories, A Taste of Turkish Cuisine, and Sephardic Israeli Cuisine.

Sheilah trained at L’Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, Maryland. She has traveled around the United States teaching cooking and lecturing on various culinary topics. She has often been an invited guest speaker at prestigious venues including the Library of Congress.

Sheilah is a freelance writer and has been a food editor and contributing editor for a number of local and national publications.
